e.g. 2 a.m. Maggi on Nani’s rooftop. She ate half and gave me half.

  3. 3 · What makes Didi so Didi?needed

e.g. She scolds a lot, but she’s the first one there when things go wrong.

For a better song

  • Elder Didi or little brother, the song addresses them the way you do.
  • Pick "Birthday" for a birthday and "Wedding" for a wedding: the lyrics follow the occasion.
  • One line is enough, if it’s true.

Lyrics, English versionHalf a Maggi

Verse

Priya Didi, remember Nani’s rooftop,

Two in the morning, one bowl of Maggi.

Half for you and half you gave to me,

“Shh! Don’t you dare tell Mummy.”

Chorus

Oh Didi, my Didi,

You’re the scolding and you’re the shield.

Bhai Dooj teeka or our everyday fights,

Without you this house isn’t home.
