Rishta guide

A song for your best friend, with their name in it

There are plenty of friendship songs, but none of them has your friend’s name. For a birthday, farewell or wedding, write three things (hostel nights, the canteen tab, the trip that never went to plan), approve the lyrics, and we sing two versions. Price: ₹199 including GST (launch offer for the first 1,000 customers; then ₹399).

Drop the premiere ticket in the group: everyone hears it together, and everyone finds out who the most filmi friend is.

  2. 2 · A moment only you two shareneeded

For example: The Goa trip we’ve been planning for three years.

  3. 3 · What makes Kabir so Kabir?needed

For example: He knows something’s wrong before I say a word.

  4. 4 · What have you never said out loud?optional

For example: I never said it, but without you I’d have quit college.

  5. 5 · Your wish for themoptional

For a better song

  • Write nicknames and group inside jokes; that’s what makes the song yours.
  • For a farewell or wedding, choose “Something else” as the occasion and write it in.
  • A whole group can send one song: put the group’s name in “From”.

Sample song: "Half a Maggi"

Dhunzo’s sample song, for a Didi, on Bhai Dooj. Lyrics arrive on a lyric card like this, with the name highlighted. Your song will be built from what you write.

Lyrics, English versionHalf a Maggi

Verse

Priya Didi, remember Nani’s rooftop,

Two in the morning, one bowl of Maggi.

Half for you and half you gave to me,

“Shh! Don’t you dare tell Mummy.”

Chorus

Oh Didi, my Didi,

You’re the scolding and you’re the shield.

Bhai Dooj teeka or our everyday fights,

Without you this house isn’t home.
